Hello, I'm Michelle
Hi there! I’m Michelle, the owner and designer behind Leaning Oak Designs. I’m passionate about creating spaces that work for YOU. Whether you’re remodeling or building from scratch, I’m here to help you turn your vision into reality. My approach is all about understanding your needs and designing a space that truly feels like home—one that fits your life, your style, and your budget. I believe in a hands-on, collaborative process, where we work together to make sure every detail is exactly right.
I’m thrilled to be a part of your journey and can’t wait to help you create a space you love!
My Story
A few years ago, I made a big decision to leave my full-time project management role at a construction company to pursue a different path. I didn’t initially plan on doing construction, and I started another business entirely. However, my reputation as a project manager followed me, and soon, friends and neighbors began reaching out for help with their design and construction projects.
After completing a few of these projects, I realized I could combine my passion for design with my experience in construction, and that’s when I decided to make it official. I founded Leaning Oak Designs after my third project and have been fortunate enough to grow my business through word of mouth and by delivering quality results for clients.
Starting Leaning Oak Designs has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I didn’t expect construction to be my future, but when you trust in God’s plan, sometimes He leads you down unexpected paths. This business has allowed me to do what I love while providing for my family, and I’m so grateful for every project, client, and opportunity that comes my way.
I’m not an architect or a certified designer, but I bring a personal touch to every project. I work closely with clients to design conceptual plans and select finishes that fit their needs and style. Each design I create is a blend of creativity, function, and a deep understanding of how you want your space to feel.
When I’m not designing or working on projects, you’ll probably find me spending time with my two boys and my husband. I’m deeply invested in my community and enjoy making a positive impact, whether through my work or personal life.
I’d love to get to know you and help bring your dream space to life. Let’s design something incredible together!
